Fun and Games: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, originally published in 1964, tells the story of Charlie Bucket exploring the chocolate factory of Willy Wonka. This first edition copy of the book contains the original description and depictions of the Oompa-Loompas as African pygmies.

This book also contains promotional materials from the 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film adaptation. Cast members signed small cards, including Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka) whose card is glued inside the book, and the Director of the film, Mel Stuart signed a paper “Golden Ticket.”
