The Legends of the Mean Green: A Century of UNT Football digital exhibit celebrates the coaches, players, students, student organizations, and alumni that have contributed to the enduring legacy of UNT football over the past century. A collection of photographs and yearbook pages from the UNT Archives highlight the contributions of notable players and coaches and document the journey of the UNT football program from its humble beginnings in the early 1900s to Division I-A play in 1996. No football program would be complete without the support of an avid fan base and the UNT Eagles are no exception. The exuberant Eagle spirit and pride of UNT students, alumni, and spirit organizations are also showcased in this exciting journey through a century of Mean Green football.
