Student Ethnic Enrichment Center
In 1999, it was determined that the department should fall under the management of the Office of Equity and Diversity, and that a name change was in order. Suggestions were taken from students regarding the name change, and Student Ethnic Enrichment Center was selected. It was thought that this new name would help students understand that this was a student centered department, as well as differentiate the Center from other similarly titled departments on campus.
