Proof: The Byrd Williams Family Photography Archive: Books and Influence
As one might imagine, a family of photographers probably has some of its roots in the technical manuals and artist photographers of the day. These books could be considered reference material for the different generations, primarily in regards to Byrd Williams III and Byrd Williams IV. As photography became one of the new modern art mediums, the desire to define creative photography was also helpful in choosing which path to take as an artist. Both Byrd Williams III and Byrd Williams IV have sought to make meaningful images; these books, especially the artist books, were in many ways, a starting point for finding their own paths.
