The Great Menagerie
This Pop-Up and Movable Books exhibit, is a recreation of two past digital exhibits focused on pop-up and movable books. These exhibits were titled and “The Great Menagerie: The Wonderful World of Pop-Up and Movable Books” and “Pop-Up and Movable Books: A Tour Through Their History,” originally created in 1997 and 2000 respectively. Because of the similarity of these exhibit topics, the two exhibits have been combined into this single exhibit and updated with new graphics, for easier access and better viewing quality.
This and the following three pages represent the content that was originally represented in “The Great Menagerie: The Wonderful World of Pop-Up and Movable Books. 1811-1996,” which was originally created by Dr. Kenneth Lavender and Gwen Smith in 1997.
